Lazzara Yachts has a boat building tradition and experience of over 50 years, although the business actually opened its doors in 1990. It is a family owned business and considers itself a family with a number of owners included in a kind of secondary family.

The Yachts That Make Lazzara Great

Based in the warm waters of Florida at Tampa, their latest and very exciting offering is the LSX78 for which they are introducing new features next year. It was unveiled in October 2009 and has continued to evolve. In 2011 the new versions will have a new fore deck arrangement which increases the seating options. The aft Deck will also increase in size and there will be a new stainless steel and teak flybridge stairway. Also the transom "beach" feature, so popular in the sister craft the LSX92 will be made available, adding icing to the cake. Talking of the LX92, also known as the Silver Bullet, the newest yacht in the Lazzara Yachts range was unveiled at the Miami Boat Show earlier this year and was on show again at the West Palm Beach show in March, where it attracted a lot of admirers. The Lazzara Yachts LMC76 was launched towards the end of 2009 which featured a much more efficient use of interior space than earlier models. This was achieved by the addition of a Zeus Drive, which has enabled the engine room to be seven feet shorter. The Zeus system is not going to replace the Volovo, that will continue to be used in the LSX92 although it will be the Mark II version that is used. Lazzara Yachts have made a number of other innovations over the years and their marketing strategy has revolved around attending various international boat shows, which are the obvious outlets for sales along with brokers like bluewater in Antibes. They attend the Cannes boat show each year and in 2009 their LSX92 win the prize for the Best Interior Award in this wonderful Mediterranean town. Cannes is one of the most prestigious shows around the world, with the hotels like the Carlton, The Martinez, The Noga Hilton on the sandy beach front bustling with yacht producers, potential buyers and many more beautiful people attending to be seen. It is a very pleasant way to earn a living, visiting all these lovely places, staying in the best hotels or living on board the best yachts in the name of work. Dubai has a glamorous ring to it, or at least it did until it suffered from the global economic fall out, which was much more pronounced in Dubai or at least the effects on their massive expansion plans were quite severe. It is a good show for selling to Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates and Kuwait, who are somewhat protected from the recession in the rest of the world due to their oil. Despite this numbers were down at the last show with the inevitable downturn in sales that follow. Despite that, Lazzara Yachts sold as many as three craft at the show and put it down to the fact of having the product there. Fort Lauderdale International Boat show and The Miami Boat Show in Florida are also important shows at which they showcase their yachts. Lazzara Yachts remains privately held by the Lazzara family. Its model lineup starts with the LMY 64 and goes up to the yacht pictured above, the LSX 92. A 120 has been in the works, with the hull mold completed a few years ago.
