Allows a Cruising Instructor to teach RYA Start Motor Cruising, Helmsman and Day Skipper practical courses at an RYA Training Centre.

Teaching methods, debriefing, contents and syllabus of G-158 , RYA training system, communication skills, practical teaching and navigation instruction.

We provide this yacht training course in Antibes.

Assessment

Ongoing training and assessment throughout the course by an RYA Cruising Instructor (CI) Trainer with a second Trainer joining on the final day as moderator.

Requirements
  • A sufficient level of spoken and written English to understand the course content and to pass any verbal or written assessments.
  • Elementary First aid certificate
  • RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate of Competence, commercially endorsed
  • RYA Membership valid
  • Valid ENG1 medical certificate
  • Experienced with theoretical and practical knowledge well in excess of the RYA Yachtmaster Offshore CoC
  • Working knowledge of radar and diesel engines
  • RYA Online pre-course knowledge check
