This intensive 7-day course is designed to thoroughly prepare individuals for the MCA OOW Deck Oral Examination. Tailored specifically for those scheduled to undertake the examination, our approach at Bluewater emphasizes small class sizes of approximately six candidates. This fosters a focused and intensive revision week where candidates engage in peer-to-peer interactions, simulating the examination environment in a supportive yet challenging manner.

While participation in this course is not mandatory, many candidates find the oral preparation invaluable in boosting their confidence and readiness for the examination.

Please note that classes in Europe consist of a mix of OOW and Masters candidates, and you will be assigned to workgroups accordingly.

GMDSS General Operator Certificate , General Ship Knowledge (OOW) Yacht , Navigation & Radar (OOW) Yacht , Yachtmaster Coastal / Offshore Practical , Yachtmaster Coastal / Offshore Theory , Advanced Sea Survival , STCW Basic Safety Training - Europe , Efficient Deckhand , HELM Operational

Requirements

Be at least 19 years old
Have (since the age of 16) a minimum of 36 months Onboard Yacht Service in vessels of any size including not less than 12 months Sea Service in vessels 15+ metres
Have completed the MCA approved Training Record Book
I have a sufficient level of spoken and written English to understand the course content and to pass any verbal or written assessments.
