WHITEFLY is a collaboration between two sailing greats. Royal Huisman is a family-run company famed for their excellent custom-built aluminium sailing yachts and Olin Stephens designed over 2,000 yachts during his lifetime, including multiple America’s Cup winners.
Beautifully maintained, 18m yacht WHITEFLY underwent a comprehensive refit in 2006. Accommodating 6 guests in 3 cabins, this versatile yacht is perfect for both long passages and family cruising.
This luxury yacht has had the same owner for the past 27 years, who tells us that “WHITE FLY has proven to be a superb cruising yacht with fast passage time, such as Madeira to Santa Maria Azores in 69.5 hours. She has a sea-kindly motion and her construction is exceptionally strong. She has survived many Atlantic storms without damage. The well designed accommodation together with excellent facilities make her a most comfortable yacht, both at sea and in harbour. The ketch rig with long batons, hydraulic furling headsails, 22 self-tailing winches, autopilot etc. make her a very easy yacht to sail shorthanded. The long keel and the ability to set the mizzen sail with the staysail enables perfect heaving to ability – a great safety feature.”
