Summer School For Teens - Essential Yacht Qualifications

This is our 5th year running summer school and we are very proud and excited to run such a popular innovative course for young students, with excellent results!

Yachting in Action is a course which allows you to gain 8 recognized maritime qualifications in an intensive 2-week program. It gives the students the chance to gain hands-on practical experience that will assist them in their future career in yachting, while learning valuable lessons for everyday working life!

We created our summer school programme for 16-18 year old teens to offer a fun, educational distraction for the school holidays. We get nothing but excellent comments and fill our courses every year! Get in fast to get the last remaining slots for July. We have very few limited spaces so make sure to get in there fast! Below are the Summer school courses.

Yachting In Action Course: 10 days (999euro)

STCW95 BASIC TRAINING (5 maritime qualifications)
• Personal Safety and Social Responsibility: ½ day
• Basic Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting: 2 ½ days
• Personal Survival Techniques: 1 day
• Proficiency in Security Awareness: ½ day
• Elementary First Aid: ½ day

RYA POWERBOAT LEVEL II CERTIFICATE: 2 days

RYA PERSONAL WATERCRAFT CERTIFICATE (Jet Ski): 2 days

VHF RADIO OPERATIONS LICENCE: 1 day

Fun Diving: 2 days (210euro) – divers must already hold the PADI open water certificate!
