You can’t put a price on space & privacy. For me, luxury is expansive, vast, open spaces, the great outdoors, and beautiful places where I can enjoy the company of those I choose to be with, not with bustling crowds... Instagram’s famous photo spots with people queuing for photos is my idea of a nightmare. I prefer the calm and enjoy unique ‘boutique’ experiences. I like to keep my life private and live peacefully below the radar. My privacy means the world to me.
The Maldives
This tropical paradise features more than 1190 coral islands grouped in a double chain of 27 atolls, so if privacy is important to you, there is no limit to how long you can explore away from prying eyes. Only 200 of these islands are inhabited, the sea life is diverse, and most islands are visited by bioluminescent plankton at certain times of the year (mid-summer to mid-winter), which is a bucket list experience. I will always remember the first time I experienced this.
M/Y BIG FISH is the perfect option with a bold and innovative design, a light and spacious interior with full-height windows and the widest swim platform of any yacht under 65m. Wi-Fi connectivity, air conditioning, a deck jacuzzi and a fitness centre allow you to fully immerse yourself in your holiday, no matter the time of day.
Norway
Cruising the Norwegian Fjords is a must-do on board a superyacht. Very different to a charter in a Mediterranean hot spot, you can enjoy the spectacular nature of Norway. From waterfalls to dramatic rock formations, the Fjords are a feast for your eyes. Enjoy an intimate bonfire on the beach at night after a hike and a morning swim, and potentially, you won’t cross paths with anyone other than your party and crew that whole day. Privacy is taken seriously in Norway, and I love that!
M/Y CHANTAL boasts an impressive 3,455nm range and can carry up to eight crew onboard for your relaxed charter holiday. Take the kayaks out for a spin or test your luck fishing with the recreational equipment and tenders available to you.
New Zealand
Where do you even begin? The more you see, the more you want to explore, and there is no better way to see NZ than around the coastline on a superyacht. Another country with strict laws and regulations regarding the privacy of individuals. There are even laws in place that protect the privacy of celebrities and public figures. From the Bay of Islands to Abel Tasman or the Milford Sounds, the landscape & climate change so dramatically as you journey around the islands. It is an explorer’s dream, off the beaten track. From diving to see the world’s largest colony of black coral (which usually occurs 200m-1000m below the surface of the water) to sport fishing or accessing hikes that are ONLY accessible by the water, New Zealand is a superyacht bucket list destination.
M/Y DRIFTWOOD
For your relaxation and entertainment needs, she comes with a jacuzzi, swimming platform, outdoor cinema, owner study and sun pads; perfect for creating your ideal holiday. The primary cabin has its own dressing room and study to get that extra bit of peace and mind you oh-so crave.
