Bluewater's Annual Chef Competition

We are back for our celebrated annual Chef Competition! Join bluewater and Gourmet Deliveries at Secrets de Cuisine on Friday 15th April 2016. We are taking entries now from the most talented yacht chefs, so if you think you are the best at what you do, if you thrive on working under pressure, or are new to the industry but are pretty sure you have what it takes to beat the rest of the competition, send your details to sharon@bluewateryachting.com. The closing deadline for applications is Friday 8th April.

Who can enter?

Any chef with yachting experience, or who is looking to start out in the industry, can enter the competition.

Who can come along?

We invite all crew to RSVP for this fun and fast paced event. Watch the chefs compete for some excellent prizes, and everyone can participate in the raffle for a chance to win some fabulous prizes! Raffle tickets can be purchased from the bluewater crew and training office in Antibes.

What else is going on?

Pole dancing workshops, a beauty corner with close-cut shaves, manicures and massages, and a beauty workshop with tips on the hottest trends and style advice. The pole dancing workshops are offered on a first-come, first-served basis so if you want to sign up, email ashleigh@bluewateryachting.com.

What are the timings?

The first rounds running between 9.30am and 12.30pm will see all 12 chefs competing for a place in the semi-finals and the final so you don’t want to miss this. They will each be given a secret bag of ingredients and a short time to create a delicious meal.

After lunch and the nail biting afternoon of challenges, the day will finish with a prize giving drinks reception between 5.30pm and 7.30pm for all those who have supported the chefs during the day.

Transport

Free shuttles will be running all day from the Crew & Training office in Antibes, with the first one departing at 8.30am and then approximately every 45 minutes – the full schedule will be released shortly.

Food and beverages

Our favourite local So-Sij lady will be in attendance; Emma will provide a delicious buffet lunch for all and there will be plenty of drinks provided by Gourmet Drinks & Tobacco.

We are delighted to be working with Gourmet Deliveries again, who will be providing the secret food parcels for the chefs to work with, as well as some delicious canapés for all to enjoy during the prize giving reception. A great opportunity for you to sample their tasty dishes.

They will also be providing wonderful cupcakes at the evening reception to help us celebrate our 25 years in yachting.
This promises to be a full day of non-stop excitement, watching 12 talented chefs go head to head and an experienced panel of judges reviewing their dishes with their critical palates.
