Bluewater can do all the research for you, just call us with your specifics; yacht style, crew preferences, favourite foods, water toys and entertainment requirements and itinerary ideas – and we’ll find your dream yacht.
At the Antigua Charter Yacht Show, the bluewater team will be showcasing two stunning yachts for a cruise in the Caribbean: 90m classic NERO and the modern 47m Admiral ENTOURAGE. At the 2014 show, mega yacht NERO was the largest yacht on display. She is certainly a magnificent charter yacht with a unique style, embodying the classic elegance of the 1920s whilst offering all the water toys and comforts of a modern yacht.
M/Y NERO
90m - Corsair Yachts - 2007
NERO is truly one of a kind and can be effortlessly transformed from the most comfortable family yacht into a stunning venue for larger events; huge deck spaces as well as multiple exterior seating and dining areas cater for both large gatherings and the more intimate moments of life on-board. The yacht’s “Snug”, situated on the sundeck, is one of the many highlights of NERO and makes an ideal place to escape from the heat of the midday sun or host a cosy dinner.
NERO is the only modern classic motor yacht of this size in existence and will always stand out in a crowd. Embodying luxury and elegance for guests to wind down in ultimate style in some of the world’s most stunning cruising grounds, she is admired for her beautiful lines and classic styling wherever she goes, and stands out as one of the iconic yachts of the modern era. She even caught the eye of chef Jamie Oliver recently when off the coast of Mykonos, as he posted an image of her huge water slide on Instagram!
M/Y ENTOURAGE
47m - Admiral Yachts - 2014
Also on display at the show is M/Y ENTOURAGE, a 2014 delivered 47m tri-deck with a striking design that features a modern and contemporary minimalist interior. Beautifully fitted with the very best that money can buy, she is the epitome of luxury. ENTOURAGE benefits from an abundance of space and light, reinforcing the theme of indoor/outdoor living. She features a fabulous fitted Gym and Turkish steam room on the main deck, a beach club on the stern, a fleet of water toys and zero speed/at anchor stabilisers. A charter on M/Y ENTOURAGE really is an experience not to be missed, and there is no better place to do so than in the clear blue waters of the Caribbean.
Antigua
English Falmouth Harbour
Antigua is of course a prime location for luxury yachts on their cruise around the Caribbean. The island has a rich history, particularly English Harbour with its famous Nelson’s Dockyard, a former British Navy base displaying restored buildings from the 18th-19th centuries and other historical artefacts from the colonial period. To this day, Nelson’s Dockyard remains the centre of Antigua’s sailing community and is the only working Georgian dockyard in the world. Whether you want to visit the museum, or simply sit back and relax with a cocktail while looking at the yachts, a visit to English Harbour and Nelson’s Dockyard is an exceptional experience.
As well as its historical appeal, the island of Antigua can also claim to have the most famous viewpoint of the whole of the Caribbean with the Shirley Heights Lookout. Located within the National Park, overlooking English and Falmouth Harbours, on a clear day this panoramic view takes in Guadeloupe to the south and Montserrat with its still active volcano to the south west. For the past quarter of a century, both locals and visitors gather here from 4pm onwards every Sunday to witness one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world to the sound of a steel band playing live music.
Barbuda
Barbuda
Whilst the beaches in Antigua are both beautiful and varied, if you are looking for peace and quiet, vast expanses of white sand and untouched nature, then Barbuda is the place to go. Antigua’s sister-island lies about 30 miles to the north and is just two thirds of the size, but has a fraction of the population, making it the perfect choice for a relaxing retreat. The natural beauty of this island is intact and its appeal can be found in the large lagoon and magnificent sandy coastline. The island is also a great place for hiking and those who walk to the caves at Two Foot Bay will be rewarded with the faded Amerindian petroglyphs on the cave walls.
