Annual CREW DAY & CREW PARTY

On behalf of Currencies Direct, our headline sponsor for the crew day and party, and the bluewater team, we are looking forward to welcoming you for a packed day of activities at the Royal Hotel and our 25th Birthday Bash on the Royal Beach in the evening.

GUEST Training Workshop and Speak Your Mind session

Speak your Mind Seminar 10am - 11.30am
An unmissable seminar giving you the opportunity to speak your mind to industry professionals including the MCA, PYA & bluewater. Our panellists will be discussing the current training provisions, what is and isn’t working, what do crew really want, onboard training issues, training rules and regulations as well as changes on the horizon. We invite you to challenge the speakers, pose your difficult questions, and tell us what you really think about the current qualification process and training courses. Limited availability so please book early. A light breakfast will be provided for all attendees at 9.30am.

Crew Concierge Services by How2Yacht 11.45am - 12.15pm
How2Yacht will be offering free advice on how they can support you in your crew career. They are a crew concierge service and offer many different services depending on your requirements. This will be a short session followed by a Q&A so please join the How2Yacht team in the Riviera Room to see how they can help you. Limited availability so please book early.

Interior GUEST Training Workshops 10am-12.30pm or 3pm - 5.30pm
A morning and afternoon workshop is being offered by GUEST and the PYA; please choose your preferred session via the Club page. Delivered by experienced interior trainers, covering etiquette and personal presentation plus the art of setting a table – this free course is a must for stews of all levels. There will also be the chance to collect a complimentary GUEST training record book and have it signed by the trainers. Limited availability so please book early.

A delicious Royal Hotel lunch, sponsored by Standard Bank, will be served to all attendees following the morning sessions.

Crew Lounge open between 11am and 5.30pm
We are pleased to introduce the Crew Lounge, sponsored by How2Yacht. The Crew Lounge is located on the terrace of the hotel and is somewhere for you to relax in between all the seminars, workshops, competitions, fun and games.

Welcome Drinks Reception 2pm - 3pm

You are invited to a welcome drinks reception in the Crew Lounge sponsored by How2Yacht, and make sure you head to the games corner adjoining the terrace to win some great prizes!

An Afternoon of Workshops and Competitions

During the afternoon, following the welcome drinks, from 3pm until 5.30pm:

The beautiful fashion stylist and blogger Marie Fiorin will be giving advice on the latest must-haves, style guidance and make-up tips. Her aim is to make you all feel totally radiant! Seek her advice on all fashion and beauty aspects; do you know your skin tone, which colours you should be wearing, and which colours you should be avoiding? Also try her range of gorgeous custom designed body jewellery.

Competitions:

They will be running their annual flower arranging competition; this time you will get the chance to create pieces to be used for the bluewater Big Birthday Bash in the evening. Sign up is essential.

We will be running our annual Engineers' Napkin Folding competition. Do you know how to make a swan or a delicate flower from a simple napkin? Show your crew how it is done!

Games Corner

B MOVED Fitness & Wellbeing and Ocean Premium water toys will be on the terrace next to the Crew Lounge from lunchtime. Talk to the lovely Rudi about how to stay healthy during the long summer season and hear about his crew survival packs.

Ocean Premium will have various exciting water toys for you to demo at the Royal Beach; bring your swimmers and a towel!

Face-painting – to be ready for the big party, visit the fabulous face painters provided by Currencies Direct, our headline sponsor for the crew day and big birthday bash. The artists will be around all afternoon decorating you to be ready for the 25th bluewater birthday celebrations in the evening on the Royal Beach!

There will also be a GIANT twister and GIANT jenga! Get involved!

Interactive Stands 1.30pm - 5.30pm

Various stands, competitions and games in the Azur Salon:
In addition to the workshops we are hosting, we have so much more going on during the afternoon.

Currencies Direct will be helping us welcome all crew and will have their own stand with a fun game and the chance to win a FitBit, so make sure you stop by to have a go and discuss how they can help you make smarter financial choices.

Standard Bank will be around with bluewater during the day to discuss your crew bank account requirements.

Taylor Made Designs will have information available on the latest crew wear designs, feel free to contact them now to place your orders or pick up some details during the crew day. Be the best dressed crew!

Bluewater’s favourite photographer, Loic Bisoli will be on his stand taking CV photos and team photos – please stop by with your crew.

Natalie Boddy from Harmonie Rock Therapy will be offering complimentary massage training and, as one of our affiliates, we can highly recommend her services and products. She is the best!
