Built in 1974, Akula underwent a complete conversion in 1999 and is an amazing example of a true world cruising luxury explorer yacht. At a cruising speed of 10.5 knots, her range is 6,000 nautical miles and she is fully equipped to take her 10 guests well off the beaten track with a vast array of equipment, including 3 tenders accommodating all weather conditions, two wave-runners, dive equipment and a compressor, kayaks, bicycles and helipad.
She is also equipped with four Vosper stabilizers that assist rough weather heli operations allowing comfortable landings in up to around Force 6 weather conditions.
