What Do You Look for in a Superyacht Charter?

Superyachting is about having the freedom to do what you want with your time and financial resources rather than just acquiring expensive goods and services because you can. As a broker, I work hard to make my clients’ wants and needs become a reality.

Where Are Your Top Adventure Destinations?

  • Antarctica is known for its astonishing glaciers and icebergs. Yachting lets you get up close and personal with this incredible landscape of narrow channels and soaring ice formations. There is also a wide array of exceptional wildlife; seabirds, whales, penguins and seals.
  • Alaska provides adventures through fjords, mountains, forests and glaciers. You can also watch bears, whales, and salmon in their natural habitat like never before.
  • Norway is home to some of the most beautiful inlets, cliffs and fjords, not to mention waterfalls. If you time your trip right, you can enjoy the northern lights and a sky full of dancing colours. Norway also boasts some of the world’s best seafood.
  • The Cortez Sea is one of the planet’s most biologically diverse marine environments, home to several unique species found nowhere else, such as the vaquita porpoise and the totoaba fish. It is also known for its exceptional geological features, including underwater canyons and deep-sea vents that support a diverse ecosystem.

What Feelings Does Adventure Evoke in You?

Adventure is very personal. You expose yourself to new cultures, keeping an open mind as you embrace new landscapes. This level of personal customisation is an attitude I have brought into yachting as a broker. For example, a standard traveller would visit Italy, Paris, and Spain. But more often than not, clients yearn to see complicated-to-reach, remote areas out of their comfort zone. Offering somewhere new to clients is a real challenge, as most have already been everywhere.

What Yachts Would You Recommend?

  • Giraud – measuring over 120ft in length, there is ample space for guests and equipment. She is perfect for exploring remote destinations and travelling long distances thanks to her long-range capacity.
  • Legend – featuring a helicopter pad, submarine and a slew of water toys, you have everything you need to explore the ocean blue. She also has remarkable icebreaking capabilities, making it perfect for sub-zero temperature trips.
  • La Datcha – fully stocked with expedition equipment such as snowmobiles, all-terrain vehicles, and various water sports equipment, guests can explore the surrounding environment and engage in exciting activities.

What Yacht Features Would You Recommend to Clients?

Of course, colder destinations require much more interior space as this is where you would spend most of your time. For outside, having heaters would be a big plus. If fishing is on the agenda, a chase boat is essential—additionally, submarines and powerful tenders to go on excursions with guests, helicopters, and spas.

Any Additional Activities or Services for Clients To Keep in Mind?

  • Heli-skiing
  • Dog sledging
  • Deep sea or sport fishing
  • Hiking

A chef, fitness trainer, local guide, and skills from the crew are a plus, as well as extra staff to prepare any activities related to adventure.
