I began my career on the River Thames at the age of 15 as a crew member onboard a luxury passenger vessel. Over the following summers between, my A-Levels and travelling, I progressed to the position of Captain.

My dream was to work at sea as a navigation Officer of the Watch. I completed 2 years at Warsash Maritime Academy and worked onboard the containership X-Press Agility. My OOW ambitions were cut short when my medical was restricted. Having transferred to a bachelor’s degree in Shipping and Port Management, I was fortunate to go back to sea onboard luxury motor yachts in Puerto Rico and Mallorca during my university summers.

My studies now complete, I am pursuing a new career having joined Bluewater as an Assistant Yacht Manager which I am thoroughly enjoying.
