A
luxury yacht charter in the Bahamas allows you to float through a beautiful paradise of 700 islands and more than 2400 cays. Many Bahamas yacht charters begin and end in Nassau by the famous Atlantis Casino, where roulette tables and aquariums sit in the shadow of huge waterslides on the edge of a blue lagoon.
As you leave the marina and venture into the quiet islands, you’ll find adventure and relaxation in equal measures. In the Exumas Land and Sea Park, snorkel or take a seabob through an underwater world commonly known as the Garden of Eden. Kayak through the perfect sapphire waters, swim with inquisitive green turtles, and look out for the gentle nurse sharks lying in the shallows. Tire yourself out on the jetskis, wakeboard through empty bays, or rise above the waves on a jetpack. After a day’s exertion, relax tired muscles in ‘Rachel’s Bubblebath- a giant natural Jacuzzi carved into the rock, or visit Thunderball Grotto, made famous by the James Bond movie. Swim ashore for a long afternoon walk on some of the world’s most beautiful beaches, picking up conch shells and marvelling at the dramatic Caribbean sunset.
Wildlife lovers will be in their element in the Bahamas. No-one can forget the famous swimming pigs of Exuma, which visit the yachts at anchor to beg for treats, their whiskered pink snouts sticking out above the surface and their trotters paddling comically in the sunlit waters. Or you can sit on the beach and watch the stingrays come into the shallows, hoping to be fed. On land, lazy iguanas bake on hot rocks in the sunshine and flocks of birds wheel and dive in the sky- vast flocks of pink flamingos, frigate birds, hummingbirds, and the national bird, the Bahamian Parrot.
