Course Level and Requirements: This introductory course caters to individuals with limited or no experience in massage therapy.

Teaching Methodology and Expectations: Students will engage in a dynamic learning environment comprising lectures, group discussions, and paired activities. They will collaborate with peers of diverse backgrounds and skill levels, with a strong emphasis on hands-on practice. Students will participate actively in massage exchanges, supplemented by a written assignment. To enhance learning outcomes, regular practice of massage techniques outside class sessions is encouraged.

Duration: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm (with a 1-hour lunch break; meals not provided)

Assessment: Assessment primarily focuses on practical application, with students engaging in massage exchanges and hands-on activities. Additionally, a written assignment will be required, complemented by independent practice sessions to reinforce learning.

Assessment:

The emphasis will be on the practical application. Students will be working with each other giving and receiving. There will be a written assignment, however it is advisable for students to practice massage between sessions.

Requirements:
  • I have a sufficient level of spoken and written English to understand the course content and to pass any verbal or written assessments.
